Atticus Energy Opens New Office in Dubai

Much of our work already happens in the Gulf. Opening an office in Dubai is the practical next step: it puts our people where the projects are.

Why Dubai, and Why Now

The GCC energy landscape has changed considerably over the past decade. A region once defined almost entirely by upstream oil and gas now spans LNG export infrastructure, major downstream and petrochemical investment, renewables and carbon management programmes. That is where an increasing share of our work sits.

Our new office is registered in Dubai's DMCC free zone, home to more than 22,000 companies and one of the world's leading commodities hubs. For a firm like ours, it offers proximity to client decision-makers, a strong regional talent pool, and a well-established legal and commercial framework.

The timing is deliberate. GCC national oil companies, including Saudi Aramco, ADNOC, KPC and QatarEnergy, are all executing multi-year capital investment programmes. Alongside that, demand for advisory work in carbon capture, hydrogen and energy efficiency keeps growing. We intend to serve both.

What the Office Enables

London remains our headquarters for technical delivery and strategic advisory. Dubai gives us something London cannot: a local presence in a region where being in the room matters.

Specifically, the Dubai office lets us:

• Provide on-the-ground engineering and project management consultancy for UAE, Saudi and Kuwaiti clients, without long-haul travel for every site visit or stakeholder meeting.
• Build deeper relationships with the NOCs, IOCs and EPC contractors headquartered or heavily represented in the GCC.
• Recruit and retain regional specialists: process engineers, project managers and technical safety professionals with Middle East operational experience.
• Support capital enablement and investment structuring mandates where proximity to funders and government stakeholders is critical.
• Take part in the regional forums, working groups and conferences that shape Gulf energy development.

The Region's Priority Programmes

Saudi Vision 2030 has pushed Aramco's downstream strategy toward petrochemicals, with the Amiral programme among the largest hydrocarbon investments in the Kingdom's history. The UAE's Net Zero 2050 commitment has ADNOC increasing upstream capacity toward 5 million barrels per day while investing in CCS, hydrogen and renewables.

Kuwait's development remains anchored around the South East Kuwait programme, Al-Zour refinery operations and continued brownfield investment in Kuwait Oil Company assets. Our conceptual and feasibility study, FEED and PMC experience in complex greenfield and brownfield environments applies directly to this portfolio.

Qatar continues to expand the world's largest LNG programme as QatarEnergy grows North Field capacity from 77 toward 126+ mtpa. Our LNG engineering and project management experience is directly relevant here.
